AscentialTest automatically verifies that the result of a set action is successful by comparing the value in the target control to the value that was set. Sometimes, this behavior results in a failure because the target control formats the value. For example, if the user attempts to set a value into a phone number field with a value like “999-999-9999” and the field displays the value as “(999) 999-9999”, the automatic verification will fail. To turn off automatic verification in set actions like SetText, Select, and SetState, set the second parameter, bVerify, to false. If you are using the default ‘Set’ action in the Actions Panel, you can change the default Value Property used for the set action to a ‘NoVerify’ type using the Value Property dropdown in the Metadata Editor located directly below the App Objects tree.
